A B C Yoga

Dawn started A B C Yoga in September 2023, extending her teaching expertise to the community. As a Certified Yoga Teacher since 2020, she has presented Accessible Chair Based Yoga to many groups and individuals.

 

Currently offers as the venue permits:

  • Yin Yoga every Wednesday Evening at 6:00 PM

  • Accessible Chair Based Yoga every Thursday at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM

  • Reiki sessions by appointment

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga does not concentrate on the muscles but on connective tissue and bones, the parts of our body that are closest to our core and critical to our physical well-being and range of motion.

 

The postures are all practiced on the floor and each is held for a lengthy period, usually three to five minutes. This intense non-movement allows us to experience the poses in a deeper way that enables the muscles to relax, the nerves to calm, and the surrounding connective tissue to remain healthy and supple. Adaptable for all bodies.

Chair Yoga

While chair yoga can be a good option for older people who may have limited mobility or difficulty standing for long periods of time, it is not exclusively for older individuals. In fact, chair yoga can be a good option for people of all ages who want to try yoga in a supportive and accessible setting.

Because chair yoga can be performed at a variety of intensity levels, it can be adapted to suit the needs and abilities of individuals of any age. So, whether you are young or old, chair yoga can be a great way to improve your flexibility, strength, and overall well-being. Yoga chair is used to facilitate balance in standing
